We are seeking a Scheduler II to support projects across the Champion portfolio to support planning and execution on large-scale construction projects. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget through effective scheduling, forecasting, and collaboration with project teams.
- Develop and maintain the master project schedule, integrating tasks from design, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
- Monitor progress, update as-built schedules, identify schedule delays or variances, and recommend corrective or recovery actions.
- Coordinate with multiple teams: engineering, procurement, construction, subcontractors, utilities, and permitting.
- Prepare schedule reports, critical path analysis, milestone tracking, risk evaluation, and scenario modelling (“what-if” analyses).
- Maintain compliance with contracting and project control standards; manage float, lead times, change order impacts, and earned value metrics.
- Produce regular dashboard reports for leadership, flagging issues, proposing mitigation measures, and ensuring confidence in timeline projections.
To be successful, the ideal candidate should bring the following experiences and attributes to the role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in scheduling and planner roles on large-scale infrastructure or industrial projects.
- Strong proficiency with project scheduling tools (e.g. Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) and project controls software.
- Ability to determine project health and maintain company standards for project governance.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and project controls.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- Solid track record in meeting deadlines, managing risks, and maintaining schedule integrity under pressure.
- Ability to coach and mentor junior staff with scheduling best practices.
- Proficiency with data analysis and reporting tools; Power BI experience a plus.
- Ability to travel to project sites as required.
