Foran Mining Corporation (TSX: FOM) is a modern mining company redefining the industry. We are seeking an Underground Diamond Driller Lead to join our growing McIlvenna Bay team. This is a full-time position based at the McIlvenna Bay site working a 14/14 rotation.
The Diamond Driller Lead supervises drilling operations, ensures equipment maintenance, supports inventory management, and collaborates with geology teams to meet project goals. This position also involves coordinating with the Chief Mine Geologist and Senior Mine Geologist to align drilling activities with project objectives.

Responsibilities:
•Ensure compliance with mining regulations, environmental permits, and company policies related to underground mining operations.
•Lead by example in fostering a strong safety culture through adherence to safety regulations, regular meetings, and inspections.
•Supervise, train, and mentor drillers and helpers to ensure safe and efficient operations.
•Support the development and implementation of operational standards and training programs.
•Support daily record keeping and budget compliance.
•Collaborate with mine site departments to ensure seamless operations.
•Apply expertise in piloting and reaming programs to support drilling operations.
•Provide feedback to suppliers on drilling technology and tooling development.
•Operate diamond drills and manage staging, slinging, and drill moves.
•Execute grade control strategies, ensure proper grouting, and address site deficiencies to minimize downtime.
Qualifications:
•High School Diploma or Vocational Training.
•Minimum 4 years of underground diamond drilling experience, including supervisory experience.
•Familiarity with operational standards and procedures for underground mining.
•Mechanically skilled with the ability to perform drill repairs as needed.
•Relevant safety certifications (e.g., Mine Supervisor Certification, First Aid) are an asset.
•Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test as a condition of employment.
Compensation and Benefits:
•Competitive Hourly Rate: $60-$75/hr including monthly bonus based on meters drilled.
