Job Description
Permian Resources (NYSE: PR) is currently seeking a TX Division Order Lead, reporting to the Land Administration Manager in Midland, TX. This position will be responsible for overseeing the TX Division Order function, ensuring the accurate and timely distribution of revenues from oil and gas production. This role involves complex title analysis, communication with internal and external stakeholders, and adherence to all relevant state and federal regulations. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in oil and gas division orders, strong analytical skills, and the ability to lead, develop and mentor a team.
General Responsibilities•Manage the preparation, review, and maintenance of division orders, transfer orders, and related documentation.
•Validate ownership percentages for revenue decks using title opinions, deeds, assignments, and other legal instruments.
•Ensure ongoing compliance with federal and state regulations affecting oil and gas revenue distribution.
•Monitor legislative and regulatory changes impacting division order practices and implement necessary adjustments.
•Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Division Order Analysts to drive performance, collaboration, and growth.
•Provide expertise on complex title issues and resolve ownership discrepancies.
•Maintain strong relationships with royalty and mineral owners, answering inquiries professionally and promptly.
•Collaborate with internal teams including Land, Accounting, Production, and Legal to support seamless operational workflows.
•Oversee and project manage contract personnel performing division order-related work, ensuring quality, timeliness, and alignment with company standards.
Minimum Qualifications
•Bachelor's degree in Energy Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, or relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
•5 years of progressive experience in oil and gas division orders, with at least 3 years in a lead or supervisory role.
•In-depth knowledge of oil and gas conveyances, title curative, probate, and trust documents.
•Strong understanding of state and federal regulations related to oil and gas production and revenue distribution.
•Proficiency in division order software (e.g., Excalibur, Enertia, Quorum, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
•Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
•Exceptional communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
•Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
•Certification as a Certified Division Order Analyst (CDOA) or Certified Professional Landman (CPL).
•Experience with Texas oil and gas ownership laws and practices.
