Position Summary

The Training & OQ Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and supporting employee training, qualification, and development programs. This role coordinates logistics, tracks training participation and effectiveness, and ensures learning initiatives align with organizational goals and compliance requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities

- Serves as the primary point of contact for HR, Labor Relations, Operations, Training, and Operator Qualification for all scheduling of Union selection testing, Training, and Qualification across all Hope companies.

- Schedules all classes and aids in the preparation of training materials, presentations, and communications for Instructors.

- Tracks attendance, completion, efficiency, certifications, qualifications, and compliance requirements.

- Prepares Training & OQ matrix reporting.Schedules all meals and travel accommodation for trainees, as appropriate.

- Assists with Hope Academy and Apprenticeship Program scheduling and coordination efforts.

- Aids in business partnership training initiatives and leads efforts on scheduling all special events hosted at the Edward M. Smith National Career & Life Skills Development Center.

- Manages inventory and ordering of office consumables.

- Manages check-in/check-out and liability forms for guests at the Training Facility.

- Assist department Manager and Director with budget tracking and vendor invoicing.

Supervisory Responsibilities

The team member in this role will:

- Serve as an Individual Contributor without supervisory responsibilities.

- Support and contribute towards team goals and objectives.


Required Skills & Abilities

- Strong organizational and time-management skills

- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

- Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills

- Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite and other data management programs


Education & Work Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Education, or closely related field, required.

- At least five (5) years experience planning, scheduling, and coordinating training and/or projects across multiple locations, required.

- Two (2) years experience in Natural Gas industry, preferred

Physical Requirements

The ideal candidate must be able to complete the following physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation:

- Remain stationary at a designated workspace for extended periods of time.

- Move self in different positions to accomplish various tasks throughout the office space.

- Adjust or move objects up to 50 pounds.

- Operate a computer and other office machinery as necessary.

- Communicate with others to accurately exchange information and ideas.

- Observe details at close range.


WORK CONTEXT

- Minimum travel for work-related purposes is expected 10% which includes some overnight visits to locations and industry events.

- This is a full-time non-exempt hourly position.
