Reporting to the Training Coordinator, you will be responsible to deliver safety training programs to site employees and contractors. Using adult learning principles, you will schedule and report to various departments daily. You will update existing training programs by utilizing Cameco’s systematic approach to training (SAT). You will consult with key stakeholders to develop this training curriculum and deliver on plans to meet the operation’s needs.
- Be responsible for the delivery of safety-related training to site personnel through a variety of methods, providing coaching and feedback, evaluating on-the-job performance while identifying training gaps, and providing general support to the training team as required.
- Maintain good communication and co-operation with various sites, departments and stakeholders to ensure regulatory training requirements and operational goals are achieved.
- Support Cameco’s systematic approach to training (SAT) through various administrative functions.
- Assist with the maintenance of Cameco’s learning management system (LMS).
- Continuously identify opportunities for improvement.
- diploma in a related field;
- minimum four years of relevant work experience;
- equivalent combination of education and work experience considered;
- strong organization, presentation and communication skills;
- strong computer skills and knowledge of computer programs (Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); and
- work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft.
- previous industrial work experience;
- working knowledge of adult learning principles, adult education;
- certification as a Canadian Registered Safety Professional;
- understand all aspects of the systematic approach to training (SAT) and be able to perform these functions; and
- experience in SAP.
