Build the tools that build everything else
Join a team where your craftsmanship has immediate impact. You’ll create and repair precision tooling to match part drawings, including jigs, fixtures, dies, cutting tools, gauges, and machine tools. In a flexible job-shop setting, you’ll shift smoothly between custom toolmaking and supporting production machining.
- Transform drawings into reality—fabricate or modify tooling for both new launches and existing work.
- Own tool readiness—sharpen tools, verify tool holders are in safe working order, and coordinate repairs or replacements to uphold stock levels.
- Oversee toolroom logistics—check tooling in/out with accuracy and care.
- Run toolroom machinery and lathes to produce form tools, taps, drills, and holders for grinding operations.
- Stage production—assemble complete setup kits for any machine when required.
What sets you up for success
- Experience in fastener heading preferred; knowledge of basic heading equipment maintenance.
- Understanding of IATF 16949 quality practices.
- Strong communicator—phone, email, written, and in-person—with composure in fast-paced or stressful situations.
- Highly organized, able to prioritize and execute with minimal errors while switching tasks quickly.
- Analytical mindset—apply general rules to specific problems to reach sound conclusions.
- Proficiency adjusting machines to control speed, pressure, temperature, material flow, dimensions, and quantities.
- Safety-first approach aligned with OSHA and company standards.
- Onsite role (single location); expect frequent standing and movement across 8–10-hour shifts.
- Lift up to 40 lbs as needed; PPE required in designated zones.
