The Tool Crib Attendant is responsible for working with the warehousing, purchasing, electrical and maintenance teams to stock and maintain the surface mine tool crib as well as manage/test radios and cap lamps.
- Coordinate/manage tools, drys, and inventory levels: issuing out parts/charging out items from inventory, and replenishment)
- Pickup, movement, stocking, kitting, and put away of parts and tools
- Maintain SKU labeling for compliance with SAP MRP system functionality
- Responsible for the daily issuance and return of tools for the Tool Crib including remote batteries, monitors, and rabbit ears.
- Ensure batteries are charged in in good order
- Perform audit of lockers and baskets including organizing the weighing of baskets monthly for weight compliance.
- Manage underground cap lamps and radios
- Perform daily inventory checks of cap lamps and radios and escalate missing inventory to Mine Captain.
- Ensure people are using the assigned lamps and radios
- Manage spare cap lamps and radios
- Perform tests on cap lamps and radios, and organize repairs/replacement.
- Perform cyclical inventory counting
- Proper storage utilization and labeling of materials
- Keep work area clean while being cognizant of safe work practices
- Highschool/GED Education required
- Computer literacy training
- Existing knowledge of warehousing fundamentals (shipping, receiving, inventory management) considered an asset
- Familiarity with SAP/MRP system functionality considered an asset
- Surface and Underground Common Core training an asset
- Excellent organizational skills
- High drive for results and strong attention to detail
- Familiarity with mining and mechanical industry parts
Schedule consisting of 7 days on and 7 days off with 11.5 working hours per day.
