The Greenstone Mine commenced production in May 2024 and will be one of Canada's largest open-pit gold mines, with annual production expected to average nearly 400,000 ounces of gold per year for an initial 14-year mine life with additional potential from a large underground deposit. Greenstone Gold Mines LP is owned by Equinox Gold Corp, a Vancouver-based mining company with seven other operating mines in the United States, Mexico and Brazil.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Tool Crib Attendant to join our team. Reporting to the Mine Maintenance Supervisor, the Tool Crib Attendant is responsible for maintaining the tool crib inventory and distributing supplies.

Key Responsibilities

- Issue tools as required.

- Maintain accurate record of tools taken and returned.

- Identify broken tools and repair tools or arrange for repairs.

- Replace missing tools.

- Puts parts away in proper locations.

- Ensure parts room is clean and organized.

Job Conditions

- Forklift training is an asset.

- Experience with parts manuals and identifying components and parts to repair and replace tools is required.

- Experience with tooling to repair heavy equipment is required.

- Mining company/mine site experience is an asset.

- Manage competing priorities with frequent interruptions.

- Able to read, understand and follow work instructions in a safe, accurate and timely manner.

- Good verbal and written communications skills.

- Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

- This position is based in Geraldton, Ontario.
