About the Role:
We’re looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Electrical Test Technician to join our team at Federal Pacific. In this role, you’ll be responsible for electrically testing, troubleshooting, and performing quality inspections on custom-manufactured electrical equipment. You’ll work hands-on with high-voltage components, interpret engineering specs, and ensure products meet both internal and customer standards.

What You’ll Do:
•Perform electrical testing and troubleshooting on a variety of electrical and electromechanical components.
•Inspect equipment to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and quality standards.
•Use schematics, diagrams, and written instructions to guide testing procedures.
•Work with high voltage equipment (up to 200KV) and energized circuits (up to 120V).
•Interpret and follow customer and engineering documentation.
•Assist with R&D projects and the development of new testing procedures.
•Collaborate with Engineering, Design, and Quality teams to solve technical challenges and improve documentation.
•Participate in Kaizen/continuous improvement initiatives and Area Focus Teams.
•Maintain a clean and safe work environment, observing all safety protocols.
•Support the manufacturing process through timely, accurate, and efficient work.
What We’re Looking For:
Required Education & Experience:
•Associate degree in a technical or vocational program OR
•Equivalent combination of education and at least
5 years of electrical testing experience.
Key Skills & Knowledge:
•Proficient in using electrical/electronic test equipment.
•Strong understanding of PLCs and troubleshooting techniques.
•Ability to set up communication parameters with relays and PLCs.
•Familiarity with Wye and Delta transformer connections.
•Understanding of single-phase and three-phase power systems.
•Experience with protective relaying and control schemes.
•Comfortable working around energized high-voltage electrical systems.
•Competent with hand tools, air tools, and common computer applications.
