Terminal Supervisor – Liquid Petroleum & LP Gas (Propane)
Pay: $28.00 – $32.00 per hour (based on experience)
Inland Fuel Terminals is seeking an experienced Terminal Supervisor to oversee operations at our Bridgeport, CT liquid petroleum and LP gas terminal. Candidates with terminal, petroleum, propane, tank farm, pipeline, or bulk fuel operations experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

Operating terminals in Connecticut and Rhode Island, Inland Fuel supplies heating oil, kerosene, diesel, biofuels, and propane while providing reliable bulk energy distribution and personalized customer service.
The Terminal Supervisor oversees safe and efficient operations at our Bridgeport liquid petroleum and LP gas facility. This role supervises terminal personnel and daily operations while ensuring compliance with company procedures and all applicable DOT, OSHA, and regulatory requirements. Travel between company terminals will be required on an as-needed operational basis including opportunities in Massachusetts & Rhode Island.
- Supervise daily terminal operations and personnel.
- Ensure safe handling, storage, and transfer of liquid petroleum products and LP gas.
- Oversee product movements including pipelines, tank-to-tank transfers, tank cars, trucks, and terminal equipment.
- Monitor tank levels and verify inventory through physical and side gauge readings.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational procedures.
- Coordinate spill response and environmental protection activities when necessary.
- Maintain terminal housekeeping, facility upkeep, and coordination of maintenance activities.
- Assist with scheduling, training, and oversight of terminal personnel.
- Maintain operational records and inventory documentation.
- Promote a strong safety culture and enforce company policies.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience in petroleum terminal, LP/propane operations, or industrial operations preferred.
- Supervisory or team leadership experience strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with common hand tools and mechanical equipment.
- Strong basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, fractions, percentages).
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Physical ability to climb stairs and ladders (heights exceeding 60 feet), navigate uneven surfaces, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to wear required PPE including hard hat, rain gear, steel-toe boots, personal flotation device (PFD), high-visibility uniform, and long pants.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Experience handling hazardous liquid products or LP gas.
- Familiarity with OSHA, DOT, and environmental safety regulations.
- Previous terminal operations, gauging, or industrial maintenance experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential).
