Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Terminal Manager to oversee operations at our terminal facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily activities, ensuring efficient order fulfillment, and maintaining high standards of inventory control. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to analyze operational processes to improve efficiency. The Terminal Manager will work closely with vendors and third-party logistics providers (3PL) to optimize supply chain performance.

Responsibilities

•

Oversee the daily operations of the terminal, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

•

Manage inventory control processes, including stock management and order fulfillment.

•

Analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.

•

Coordinate with vendors for timely delivery of goods and services, fostering strong vendor management relationships.

•

Supervise a team of staff members, providing training and support to enhance performance.

•

Collaborate with distribution center teams to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

•

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean working environment.

•

Manage relationships with (Common Carrier) partners to facilitate smooth operations.

•

Implement category management strategies to optimize product offerings and inventory levels.

Qualifications

•

Proven experience in terminal management or a similar role within logistics or supply chain environments.

•

Strong understanding of MRP (Material Requirements Planning) inventory control.

•

Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively.

•

Experience in vendor management and building strong business relationships.

•

Knowledge of order fulfillment processes and best practices in stock management.

•

Ability to lead a team effectively while promoting a positive work culture.

•

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration across departments.
