JOB OVERVIEW:

Nevada Irrigation District is currently seeking two Temporary Vegetation Control Workers candidate to join our Vegetation Department for a temporary assignment. Under general supervision, the Temporary Vegetation Control Worker will be responsible for performing maintenance duties related to the control and management of invasive weeds, vegetation, and pests on District lands and open water areas.

WORK SCHEDULE:

This is a full-time, temporary assignment estimated at 40 hours per week. Work hours will be Monday through Thursday from 6:30 am – 5:00 pm. The length of the assignment is estimated up to 6 months. Assignment hours and end date may be adjusted based upon District approval. This position will report to our Grass Valley location.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS and SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Experience: One year of vegetation control experience, including use of herbicides and pesticides, is desirable.

Education: Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade.

License: Possession of a valid driver’s license.
