You will be trusted to:
•Perform all aspects of leading and directing team of technology strategist and analysts including strengthening culture and cohesiveness, hiring, training, assigning work, managing performance and conducting reviews.
•Partner closely with LCRA’s CIO and information technology team members on a wide variety of matters to ensure strategic alignment and continuity of processes.
•Partner with business areas to research, identify, and evaluate business processes, tools, and technologies to achieve business goals and to enable optimal software solution selection.
•Provide leadership and expertise in the development of architectural governance, standards, design patterns, security approach, and IT practices and ensures recommendations integrate into overall architectural vision and strategy.
•Collaborate on the overall strategy, architecture and process improvements for the infrastructure and operational technology. Serve as a thought leader and subject matter expert on IT and OT, making recommendations for technology shifts and providing oversight in assessment of new technologies and proof of concepts when appropriate.
•Build and maintain an inventory of technology in use at LCRA and external benchmarking resources. Develop and maintain an enterprise and business unit technology roadmaps, partnering closely with the information technology function and business leaders.
•Direct the overall technology strategy for the enterprise, which includes but is not limited to software development frameworks, client technology, buy vs. build vs. cloud strategy and middleware architecture.
You qualify with:
•Twelve or more years of experience in multiple information technology/operation technology areas and corporate strategy, or other relevant experience, including two or more years of experience in enterprise-wide architecture in one or more specialty areas. A degree(s) in engineering, computer science, information technology, business administration or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.

•Expert knowledge of software and middleware, including but not limited to, development frameworks, client technology, database solutions, middleware, messaging backbones and enterprise integration patterns
•Knowledge of infrastructure, including but not limited to, networking, operating systems, servers, and data centers
•Knowledge of industry best practices in the various aspects of IT and OT, technology trends, security considerations, enterprise operations knowledge and the ability to develop solutions to implement key business strategies
•Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills with technical organizations and management teams
•Industry certifications regarding architecture concepts, tools, and practices preferred
•Control systems experience preferred
