Job Summary
The Technical Sales Support Representative will be responsible for conducting in-field laser scans using the Raptor Laser Scanner to measure, analyze, and document wear patterns on mining equipment. This role bridges technical service and sales support, ensuring customers receive world-class insights, product recommendations, and after-sales service from Raptor Mining.
The successful candidate will travel weekly to mine sites across Northern Ontario, using a Raptor-branded company vehicle to perform site visits, support Raptor wear products, and build strong relationships with maintenance and production teams.
- Conduct field visits to perform 3D laser scanning using Raptor scanning technology.
- Analyze wear data and prepare digital wear reports for maintenance planning.
- Provide technical support and product knowledge for Raptor wear solutions and overlay systems.
- Collaborate with engineering and sales teams on wear material recommendations.
- Maintain and calibrate laser scanning equipment.
- Act as technical liaison between customers and internal Raptor teams.
- Conduct product training or demonstrations for mine site personnel.
- Ensure compliance with Raptor’s safety standards during all site visits.
- Represent the Raptor brand professionally and with pride.
- Proven experience in outside sales, account management, or territory development, preferably within industrial, heavy equipment, mining, or technical product industries.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand product specifications, applications, and performance benefits. Experience with equipment, mechanical systems, or technical solutions is an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct on-site customer visits, present product solutions, and support clients with product selection and problem solving.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage operators, maintenance teams, purchasers, and management-level stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify customer needs and recommend effective solutions.
- Highly organized, able to manage a sales pipeline, coordinate multiple accounts, and follow through on commitments.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently across ONtario territory while collaborating closely with internal teams.
- Experience in mining, construction, forestry, or industrial sectors is an advantage but not required.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel throughout Ontario for customer visits, trade shows, and field support.
