Job Summary
The Technical Field Operations Manager position blends mid-level field engineering responsibilities with project and program management. This role involves commissioning, installation, troubleshooting, and on-site technical support while managing key aspects of program execution and continuous process improvement.
As a key member of InductEV’s Customer Success Launch Team, this individual will collaborate with internal teams to refine deployment strategies, optimize system performance, and enhance operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Installation, Commissioning & Field Support
•Configure and commission InductEV’s wireless EV charging systems at various locations.
•Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and electrical issues with charging equipment and vehicle integration.
•Conduct system diagnostics, quality assurance, and root cause analysis for continuous improvement.
•Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers, third-party contractors, and internal teams.
•Ensure all field deployments comply with OSHA regulations, NFPA 70E standards, and local electrical safety codes, maintaining a safe work environment for all personnel.
•Perform or assist with light manual labor tasks on-site, such as caulking, coil or electrical component placement.
Program & Project Management
•Oversee field deployment projects, ensuring seamless execution and on-site implementation.
•Work closely with transit agencies and freight operators to integrate charging infrastructure into fleet operations.
•Collaborate with engineering, operations, and customer teams on high voltage electrical and construction site designs, ensuring alignment with project specifications.
•Assist in refining best practices, training materials, and process documentation for improved efficiency.
Supply Chain & Logistics Coordination
•Work closely with Supply Chain teams to ensure timely and accurate shipping of materials and equipment to customer sites.
•Track shipments and verify that necessary tools, parts, and systems arrive on time for deployments.
•Communicate with vendors and logistics partners to prevent delays and resolve material shortages.
Regulatory & Compliance Coordination
•Coordinate UL inspections and ensure regulatory compliance for system installations.
•Work with internal teams to ensure equipment and deployments meet UL, safety, and quality standards.
Qualifications & Experience
•5+ years of experience in EVSE commissioning, automotive manufacturing, or a related technical field.
•Strong technical background in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, networking configurations, and software diagnostics.
•Hands-on experience with system installations and infrastructure deployment.
•Experience in program and project management, with the ability to oversee field execution and process optimization.
•Familiarity with logistics planning, material tracking, and coordinating the delivery of equipment to multiple job sites.
•Knowledge of UL certification requirements and experience coordinating compliance inspections.
•Excellent problem-solving skills, adaptability, and the ability to work independently in the field.
•Hands-on experience with EV charger installations and associated infrastructure.
•Understanding of the EV market, utility programs, OEM hardware and deployment trends.
•Experience in transit or freight-related projects, particularly involving fleet electrification.
•Willingness to travel extensively across the U.S. to customer sites and deployment locations; candidates based in the East Coast or Midwest regions are preferred due to travel logistics, but applicants from all U.S. regions will be considered.
•Ability and willingness to engage in basic manual labor tasks on-site when necessary
