Job Title: Field & Operations Coordinator
Company: Nxt Gen Excavating LLC
Location: Springfield, TN
Type: Full-Time
Pay: $50,000 – $80,000/year, depending on experience
About Us
We’re a tight-knit excavation company built on quality work, a strong reputation, and a no-drama, no-shortcuts culture. Our 9-person crew is made up of skilled, high-performing pros who take pride in what they do. Business is booming—but we’re missing one crucial piece: a sharp, dependable Field & Operations Coordinator to keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.
Right now, the owner is juggling everything—scheduling, estimating, material runs, client calls, you name it. We’re not looking to win a burnout contest. That’s where you come in.
The Role
As the Field & Ops Coordinator, you’ll be the glue between the field and the office. You’ll help plan jobs, manage schedules, coordinate crews and equipment, and make sure everyone has what they need to succeed. Some days you’ll be solving logistics problems from your laptop. Other days, you might be on-site making sure a delivery shows up or helping crews troubleshoot an issue.
You'll also play a key role in assisting with estimating and bidding for both residential and commercial work. This means gathering project details, compiling estimates, and supporting the bidding process to ensure accurate pricing and timelines. We're seeking someone who has a strong willingness to learn and grow in their position, taking on new challenges as they develop a deeper understanding of the business.
You don’t need a fancy degree. But you do need common sense, attention to detail, and the ability to keep cool when things get chaotic. If you’re ready to learn, grow, and contribute to a fast-paced environment, we want to talk.

•Help keep jobs on track by ensuring sites are prepped and crews are ready
•Run occasional errands or site visits to troubleshoot or assist as needed
Who You Are
•2+ years in construction, excavation, dispatch, or logistics (or similar fast-paced field)
•Strong communicator who’s comfortable talking to both crews and clients
•Tech-savvy enough to handle spreadsheets, emails, and simple project tools
•Highly organized with a knack for multitasking and prioritizing
•Reliable, proactive, and solutions-oriented—doesn’t wait to be told what to do
•A strong willingness to learn and grow in the role and company
•Able to switch between field work and office tasks without missing a beat
•Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation

•Experience with excavation workflows or takeoff software (e.g., InSite)
