This position provides management support to the group that is responsible for performing systems design engineering through detailed design, build and testing across all projects and programs as well as procedure writers who maintain the engineering management system. This includes directing the work of individual contributors on the team, supporting the management of resource and organizational needs of the system design engineering and procedure writer teams.
- Support the execution of the systems design engineering through detailed design, build and testing across all assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program / project requirements.
- Maintain the engineering management system through the development and maintenance of engineering procedures, ensuring that the management system follows systems engineering practices.
- Provide summary feedback to management on current progress and issues of the engineering management system.
- Ensure that the procedure team supports the broader TRISO-X organization by providing consistent application of modern procedural approaches.
- Lead the creation and maintenance of engineering calculations that span multiple process areas, as required.
- Develop calculations on the expected production rate, operations staffing, and equipment reliability of the fuel fabrication system as a whole and provide regular reports to management on the ability of process designs to achieve desired production goals.
- Supports with the management of the utilization of engineering resources across multiple projects and ensures qualified engineers are performing assigned work.
- Lead design cycle sprints and provide direction to ensure the convergence of efforts of engineering team members, partners, and suppliers to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality engineering work products are on schedule and within budget as defined by the Project leadership.
- May manage systems design engineering and procedure writer staff by ensuring staff are meeting expectations and promoting staff professional development.
- Influences and supports the development of strategy, methodology and technical tools for the area of responsibility, including control of resources and policy formulation.
- Work within a multidisciplinary engineering team to create the next generation nuclear reactor technologies.
- Perform work in accordance with design control procedures, ensuring thorough documentation of work, facilitation of internal and external design reviews, and control of product design configuration data.
- Maintain professional demeanor and behavior at all times in all forms of communication.
- Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline from an accredited university or college.
- Typically, seven plus years of relevant engineering after completion of undergraduate study. Graduate degrees typically count as two plus years of experience.

Work Site Expectations: 5 days a week in office
Travel Expectations: up to 10% as needed
Hours: Standard office schedule are 8:00am-5:00pm ET, Mon-Fri
