Your Impact
As the Team Lead, Hygiene, you will lead the development and execution of occupational hygiene programs that protect worker health across our operations. You will apply your expertise to assess exposure risks, implement effective controls, and guide cross-functional teams in building a proactive culture of health and safety compliance
As Part of Our Team, You Will
- Perform field-based occupational hygiene assessments using air sampling, noise monitoring, heat stress evaluation, and other techniques
- Analyze data and site observations to produce accurate, actionable technical reports aligned with scientific and regulatory standards
- Recommend exposure controls and mitigation strategies tailored to operational conditions
- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of hygiene monitoring programs and protocols
- Serve as a technical resource to peers and departments, promoting consistency and best practices in occupational hygiene
- Collaborate with safety committees, engineering teams, consultants, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and innovation
- Address complex or ambiguous workplace health issues using evidence-based analysis and practical judgment
- Translate technical data and sampling results into clear, workplace-specific recommendations
- Investigate exposure incidents or health complaints, identifying root causes and proposing corrective actions
- Apply a balance of regulatory knowledge, scientific reasoning, and operational insight to ensure sustainable health protections
- Master’s Degree in Occupational Hygiene, Environmental/Industrial Health, or a related field—or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Professional certification such as CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist), ROH (Registered Occupational Hygienist), or CRSP (Canadian Registered Safety Professional) is strongly preferred
- In-depth knowledge of occupational exposure limits, sampling methodologies, engineering controls, and applicable health legislation
- Familiarity with industrial or resource-sector operations, including mining, oil& gas, or manufacturing
- Proficient in the use and calibration of hygiene sampling equipment (e.g., air pumps, noise dosimeters, gas detectors, thermal monitors)
- Skilled in interpreting lab and field data to support compliance and hazard mitigation
- Experienced in drafting technical reports, exposure control plans, and investigation summaries
- Competent in using occupational hygiene software and digital platforms for monitoring and reporting
- Ability to critically assess third-party hygiene assessments and internal programs for accuracy and completeness
- Location: Red Chris Mine (fly-in/fly-out role)
- Rotation: 15 days on site/ 13 days offsite
- Conditions: Onsite in a remote, industrial mining environment
- Requirements: Must pass pre-employment medical, drug& alcohol test, and comply with PPE and safety protocols
We are now recruiting for the position ofTeam Lead, Hygiene with a competitive annual salary ofCAD103,300 - CAD 137,700. The offered base salary will be determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies, with consideration to internal equity.

The expected salary range for this role is CA$103,300-137,700 . This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.
