We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced EQS (Environmental, Quality, and Safety) Head to lead our EQS team within the GS Central Global Services Operations (GSO) organization. This role is pivotal in ensuring health & safety, operational excellence, regulatory compliance within the GSO organization. The EQS Head will collaborate with all GSO cross-functional teams, including the global GS and Regional Service Units (RSUs) EQS teams, to drive continuous improvement initiatives and maintain the highest standards of quality, safety, and environmental management.
- Lead an international team of quality, safety, and environmental professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to ensure high performance and continuous improvement
- Develop and monitor EQS performance indicators and measurements to encourage ongoing improvements with a clear emphasis on reducing nonconformance costs
- Collaborate with the GSO functional heads to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance quality, safety, and environmental performance across all operations and projects
- Develop and oversee the internal audit program of the GSO organization and the applicable external suppliers, including scheduling and executing audits per applicable standards
- Prepare and present regular reports on quality, safety, and environmental performance, issues, and improvements to senior management and stakeholders
- Ensure all activities and processes align with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards
- Engineering or comparable degree (M.Sc./B.Sc.) in Quality Management, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field.
- At least long-standing experience of combined experience in quality management, field service, construction of power generation equipment, manufacturing, or customer service.
- Formal training in Management Systems and solid understanding of quality methodologies and tools (e.g. ISO9001 2015 certified Internal Auditor)
- Proven experience in leading complex teams, ability to balance multiple projects, prioritize tasks and strong problem-solving skills and an analytical approach
- Solid track record of working and leading cross functional teams in a multi-national/multi-cultural environment
- Strong communication and analytical skills and/or continuous improvement tools (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean).
