JOB SUMMARY

: The SVP, Corporate Affairs is responsible for developing and managing the legal functions, regulatory process, and government affairs strategy for Nationwide Energy Partners (NEP). The position will drive and be accountable for the company’s growth strategy to expand into new markets and product offerings.

Duties & Responsibilities

- Expertise in navigating and influencing energy-related regulations and legislation.

- Ability to design and execute strategies for market growth through policy and regulatory initiatives.

- Skilled in managing lobbying efforts and building strong relationships with policymakers.

- Lead and advise on the legal and regulatory aspects of business operations, ensuring compliance and strategic alignment.

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, industry associations, and community leaders.

- Oversee the creation and implementation of policies that support NEP’s strategic objectives and market expansion.

- Provide strategic counsel to executive leadership on regulatory risks and opportunities.

- Manage and mentor a geographically diverse team to achieve departmental and corporate goals.

- Collaborate with internal teams to align business objectives with regulatory requirements and market opportunities.


Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in business or a combination of relevant experience.

- Fifteen (15) or more years of experience in private, state, and/or federal energy regulatory environments.

- Fifteen (15) or more years of experience in business and market development related to the energy industry, with a preference for multifamily industry experience.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills for advising executives and engaging external stakeholders.

- Experience leading geographically diverse teams across multiple states.

- Ability to interpret complex regulatory environments and align them with business objectives.

- Experience and knowledge of rate design and allocation.

- Established relationships with external contacts in the industry.
