Job Description

The Survey Project Coordinator supports the Survey Team ensuring collaboration with other departments and subcontractors.

Responsibilities include managing schedules, budget forecasting, scope of work preparation, procurement, supplies inventory, reviewing drawings, coordinating inputs and deliverables, and maintaining documentation.

- Focus on Safety as paramount priority during all the activities including planning.

- Supports the team compliance with safety requirements.

- Drive Documentation Support: Independently produce documentation for Scopes of Work and Work Plans.

- Manage Purchase Requisitions and Commercial Evaluations:

- Manage procurement activities, including drafting requisitions, conducting vendor evaluations, and supporting technical assessments. Oversee the procurement process through to delivery and invoicing.

- Apply Independent Project Management Skills: Plan and execute tasks independently using strong organizational skills. Ensure adherence to policies and procedures while adapting to project changes.

- Foster Effective Communication: Employ advanced and professional communication skills to manage stakeholder relationships, addressing concerns and aligning project goals with stakeholder expectations.

- Ensure Accurate Project Documentation: Utilize professional documentation practices to record, structure, and distribute internal survey meeting minutes. Track action items, clarify technical discussions, and ensure alignment between survey activities and broader project objectives.

- Maintain a systematic filing and revision control process for all related project documents.

- Required Software expertise: Excel, Outlook, AutoCAD (basic at least).

- Preferred Software expertise: Visio, PowerPoint, Civil3D, Revit

- May support Surveying activities as needed including, but not limited to: Using AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, and Global Mapper to analyze data and create construction documents. Collaborate with engineers, architects, and designers to ensure drawings meet project specifications and industry standards.


Required Skills And Competencies

- Diploma or associate’s degree in engineering technology, Surveying, or a related field.

- 3+ years of experience as a Project Coordinator, or in a similar role performing activities as procurement, estimating, budgeting and forecasting, etc.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to work within tight deadlines.

- Good communication and team collaboration skills. Proactive.

- Required Software expertise: Excel, Outlook, AutoCAD (basic at least)

- Experience in transit projects under collaborative model.

- Preferred Software expertise: Visio, PowerPoint, Civil3D, Revit.

- Ability to interpret architectural and engineering plans accurately.

- Knowledge of Engineering Surveying and survey related experience.

- Knowledge of GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and topographic mapping.

- Strong knowledge of technical drawing standards, scaling, and dimensioning.

- Understanding of Construction and Surveying activities.


Work Conditions

- Office-based, with occasional site visits for deliveries reception, inventory and organization.

- Light physical duties, including occasional lifting and handling of boxes and materials generally up to 23 kg (50 lbs).

- Full-time, with potential overtime to meet project deadlines.
