Spartan is seeking an individual to fulfill the responsibilities of a Surface Land Administrator to join the Operations team. This role is primarily responsible for maintaining the day-to-day tasks related to surface land rights and maintaining the integrity of surface files.
- Administer and maintain surface, easement and road use records with a high degree of accuracy.
- Prepare and process third-party agreements.
- Enter and maintain new files in CS systems.
- Administer land title registrations, transfers, and discharges in both Alberta and Saskatchewan.
- Run monthly rental cycles and generate rent statements.
- Prepare and process road use invoices.
- Code and approve EnergyLink road use invoices.
- Code and approve OpenInvoice (OI) invoices.
- Prepare and process Land Change Notices.
- Provide assistance with A&D (Acquisitions and Divestitures) activities.
- Track expiries and notify relevant stakeholders.- 10-15+ years of work experience in Surface Land Administration.
- Proficient in CS Land and mapping systems. AbaData and Geologic would be considered an asset.
- Knowledge of regulations affecting surface land in Alberta and Saskatchewan.
- Understanding of the Crown renewal and amendment processes with a working knowledge of OneStop.
- Familiar with Directive 56 and public consultation requirements.
- Strong organization and communication skills.
- Demonstrate initiative, attention to detail, and effective time management skills.
- Land Administration Certificate or Land Diploma, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
