Position Summary
An opportunity to lead a dynamic Land Administration organization with a growing company that is expanding our footprint across several basins.
The
Land Administration Manageris responsible for overseeing all aspects of land administration, including lease and contract maintenance, acquisition and divestiture support, process improvement, land data system integrity, and compliance with company, state, and federal regulations.
The Land Administration Manager serves as a key liaison between Land, Accounting, Legal, and Operations to support company goals and asset management strategies and will report to the Vice President of Land.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise the Land Administration team, including Lease Records and Land Systems functions.
- Close collaboration with Land Operations, Division Order, and GIS teams.
- Oversee setup and maintenance of leases, contracts, and other land-related documents within company systems.
- Oversee expiration, obligation and payment calendars
- Key support to acquisition and divestiture opportunities throughout negotiation, diligence, and integration cycles.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure land data integration throughout workflows and systems.
- Provide lease analysis and curative support to Operations landmen.
- Implement and maintain data integrity and standardization within the land system (e.g., LandVantage, Quorum, or similar).
- Lead system upgrades, conversions, and process improvement initiatives to enhance team efficiency and data accuracy.
- Serve as subject matter expert on land administration policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), establish departmental goals, and ensure alignment with corporate objectives.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate staff performance, fostering professional growth and a culture of accountability.
- Bachelor’s degree in Energy Management, Land Administration, Business, or related field.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in Land Administration or Division Order, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.- Strong working knowledge of oil and gas ownership, lease, and contract administration.
- Experience with land management systems (e.g., LandVantage, TRDI, Quorum, P2 Land, etc.) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other analytical tools.
