Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer, registered with APEGA, to join our innovative engineering team. This role demands hands-on expertise, advanced proficiency in CAD software, and a passion for delivering exceptional technical support to clients and internal teams. Key Responsibilities
•Provide expert technical support to clients via phone, email, or on-site visits, resolving issues related to hardware, software, and system performance.
•Design, draft, and document mechanical components and assemblies using CAD software (AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor).
•Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems, including interface detectors, water cut meters, and multiphase flow meters.
•Create and maintain detailed manuals, procedures, technical reports, and user guides to support projects and enhance client experience.
•Collaborate with engineering, production, and customer support teams to identify issues, implement solutions, and drive continuous improvement.
•Support warehouse operations, including RMA repairs and diagnostics.
•Travel to customer sites for service, troubleshooting, or extended assignments (up to 70% travel, including overnight stays).
•Apply foundational knowledge of electronics and electrical systems (e.g., voltage, current, resistance) to support diagnostics and repairs.
•Maintain accurate records of repairs, customer interactions, and support activities.
•Prepare professional reports and presentations using Microsoft Office Suite and other tools as needed.
•Ensure compliance with APEGA standards, safety protocols, and ethical guidelines.
Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
•Registered as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with APEGA.
•Authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship.
•Proficient in AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor for 2D/3D design and modeling.
•Basic knowledge of electronics and electrical systems, including electrical measurements (voltage, current, resistance).
•Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
•Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems.
•Exceptional troubleshooting skills and hands-on mechanical aptitude.
•Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
•Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
•Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
•Willingness to travel extensively and adapt to flexible schedules.
•Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering high-quality solutions.
Preferred Skills & Experience
•Programming skills in VBA, Python, or similar languages for task automation and data analysis.
•Prior experience in customer-facing technical support or field service roles.
