DIS-TRAN Packaged Substations is looking to hire a Supply Chain Coordinator to join their team in Pineville, Louisiana. The Supply Chain Coordinator purchses, monitors, reports and expedites material deliveries to meet required delivery date(s). The Supply Chain Coordinator uses excellent vendor communication skills, strong time management skills and a commitment to meeting deadlines and receiving orders on time. The Supply Chain Coordinator ensures supplier on time delivery while keeping the internal and external stakeholders informed of material deliveries status. This role is responsible for communicating with vendors and shipping companies, daily, to ensure that all deliveries arrive at their destinations on time. The Supply Chain Coordinator will also be required to report any pending delivery delays to project management, and work with vendors to help get deliveries to their destinations as soon as possible.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Contact suppliers to ensure that all dropship purchase orders were received and that deliveries will ship on time
•Maintain constant contact with vendors and shipping companies while P.O. are in process and/or in route
•Notify project management team in a timely manner if a critical delivery is going to be late. Minimum 1 month prior to original delivery date.
•Work with vendors to solve invoicing issues that could delay critical shipments
•Vendor Management (relationship building) - Routine visits to vendor locations to address shipping/delivery/quality issues
•4 Check system. This person must document of P.O. a minimum of 3 times in our database. -Order acknowledgment, Half way points, 2-4 weeks prior to deliver (exceptions taken on shorter lead times), Confirm shipment.
•Responsible for creating/updating BOM matrices per request from project management.
•Manage BOL, Tracking, and Proof of delivery for all purchase orders.
•Point of contact for Project support services for material deliveries and material discrepancies.
•Will verify packing list for all shipments leaving PSS
•Material Confirmation – serves as billing trigger
•Monitors Purchase Order after release and follows up with vendors for progress reports.
•Reviews progress reports, from Project Management, to baseline schedule to monitor for any schedule delays, relays information as necessary.
•Monitor progress of Quality and Logistics deliverables to meet Purchase order dates.
•Identify red flags during manufacturing process and elevate issue as needed.
•Obtains and file Proof of Deliveries from vendors.
•Issue Shipping Notifications
•Support Release to Pack and Release to Ship process.
•Support site with delivery issues, information requests, etc.
•Expedite suppliers for closure of Over, Short & Damaged (OS&D's) deliveries (ie., parts and/or information).
•Maintain up to date project material delivery list.
•Work with Accounts Payable on updates to the Purchase Order Expedite Dashboard (dates, tracking, POD)

•Researches and evaluates suppliers based upon price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities, and the supplier’s reputation and history.
•Works with purchasing team members to ensure that all material purchases are being processed and are scheduled for timely delivery.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
•Associate degree from a two-year college or technical school with 3 years relevant experience is preferred (High School diploma along with 3 years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of two-year degree).
•Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook is required.
•General knowledge of Microsoft Access is preferred, but not required.
•Prior experience within an Engineering, Project Management, or Logistics function within the Electrical Utility industry is highly preferred.
•Must have excellent communication ability within all levels of the company.
•Strong background in Customer Service is highly preferred.
