Supervisor - Terminal Operations (PORTLAND, OR)

Summary:

The Supervisor – Operations position will oversee all operations including pipeline operations, mechanical maintenance, and environmental within their area while ensuring we uphold a successful safety record. This position will adhere to all Partnership policies and procedures and operate within its budget set forth annually by the Partnership. This position is in Portland and is a key component in insuring that assets are maintained safely.

EssentialDuties&Responsibilities:

- Supervises day-to-day facility operations to meet required production rates and monitors operating data to minimize problems and downtime.

- Ensure that established regulatory environmental and safety standards are maintained. Supervises all emergency response activities and decisions related to the safety of the plant and the surrounding area.

- Supervises subordinates in performing their job duties in a safe and efficient manner. Administers performance reviews for subordinates and administers disciplinary action when warranted. Ensure all departmental manuals are kept current.

- Development and administers training courses pertinent to Operations to ensure personnel qualifications are maintained to comply with all regulatory requirements.

- Develop and maintain operational procedures to ensure a safe and efficient operation. Ensure operating parameters are within the limits of the design of the equipment.

- Participates in FRRC/DOT and PHMSA audits as well as maintains all required operational documentation to stay within compliance.

Educationand/orExperience,Knowledge,Skills&Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

- High school degree or bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

- Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.

- Minimum of 8 years’ industry experience required for this position.

- Previous supervisory experience preferred.

- Proficient use with Microsoft Office software products.

WorkingConditions:

- Usually, normal office working conditions.

- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.

- Occasional overnight travel may be required.

- Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
