The salary range for this position is dependent on experience level ranging from $114,00 to $142,000.00
Manages, maintains, and operates the Company's SCADA Instrumentation functions in a best cost, safe, and reliable manner while meeting all state and federal code and training requirements. Directs and supervises employees responsible for the maintenance and operations of instrumentation for gate stations, odorizers, odor level testing, gas boilers, emergency generators, telemeters, gas/fire detection, and SCADA field equipment at multiple OPCOs.
- Supervisors six (6) union field employees at multiple OPCOs working with multiple bargaining unit agreements to maintain, odorant testing, Gate Stations and SCADA field equipment.
- Responsible for maintenance and operation of gate stations, odorizers, gas boilers, emergency generators, instrumentation, gas/fire detection, and SCADA field equipment.
- Determines priorities and coordinate construction/maintenance work with customers, gas operations, business partners, and contractors.
- Plans and Coordinates instrumentation capital projects at Gate Stations and district regulator sites.
- Maintains high level of technical knowledge to assist employees in troubleshooting/repairing instrumentation/equipment.
- Directs daily assignments and scheduling of bargaining unit employees to maximize productivity and encourage teamwork.
- Ensures all training of personnel is completed to comply with all regulatory code requirements.
- Maintains a safe, secure working environment and complies with all regulatory requirements.
- Works with computerized Work Management System, updating work orders and issuing corrective work orders for unscheduled work.
- Reviews and updates operations, maintenance, emergency and security procedures as required.
- Provides after hour support for SCADA Instrumentation.
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other technical discipline and 6 years’ experience, or; an Associate’s degree in the same and 8 years’ experience, or; a high school diploma/GED/non-technical degree and 10 years’ experience.
- Must have experience in the utility industry
- Must have strong communication, computer and management skills.
- Must have a high level of attention to detail.
- Must be fully knowledgeable in Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of work order management systems, 49 CFR 192 preferred.
