Founded in 2007, today, B2Gold has operating gold mines in Mali, Namibia and the Philippines, the Goose Project under construction in northern Canada, and numerous development and exploration projects in various countries including Mali, Colombia and Finland.

Position

Supervisor, Instrumentation, Nunavut

Location and Reporting Structure

Reporting to the Superintendent, Instrumentation, this position will be a fly in- fly out 3x3 rotation based in Nunavut, Canada.

Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of instrumentation technicians and contractors;

- Uphold the health, safety, and environmental policies of B2Gold, ensuring all activities comply with regulations, codes, and Nunavut standards;

- Oversee the maintenance and calibration of instrumentation and control systems (e.g., flow meters, level sensors, pressure transmitters, PLCs, SCADA systems);

- Ensure all work complies with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards;

- Troubleshoot and resolve instrumentation issues impacting production or safety;

- Work closely with other maintenance, electrical, and operations teams to plan and execute maintenance activities;

- Maintain documentation related to instrumentation assets, including calibration records, loop drawings, and manuals;

- Support project work including commissioning of new instrumentation systems and upgrades; and

- Engage in reliability enhancement projects and conduct thorough root cause failure analyses.

Desired Competencies and Requirements

- Five (5) years’ of experience as an Instrumentation Technician, with a minimum of two (2) years of experience in a supervisory role, Preference will be given to those with experience working in a remote camp with limited resources;

- Interprovincial Red Seal Instrumentation and Control Technician certification; and

- A dual ticket qualification in Electrical and/or HVAC, Standard First Aid and Hydrogen Sulfide Awareness (H2S) certificate in addition would be an asset.

Compensation and Benefits

For informational purposes, the annual salary for this role is $185,000.00.
