SUMMARY
Ensures the timely delivery of projects and the successful execution of our software development initiatives. Responsible for ensuring that home developed applications are working properly and make enhancements when approved. Responsible for overseeing the management of Application Servers.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor degree in computer science, computer information systems, or business administration. (Preferred)
- Without a Bachelor degree, an Associate’s degree and 3 years of experience in Applications software may be considered.
- Without the above degree, 5 years’ additional experience in applications software may be considered.
- 8 Years of experience in software applications (Required)
- Leadership or Supervisory experience. (Preferred)
- There is no Certification or Licensure Listed
- Manages and directs the analysis, design, coding, testing, and production implementation of applications development software systems.
- Manages and directs the development and maintenance of computer applications in accordance with IT standards, industry standards and good business practices.
- Evaluates external software application packages for cost benefit and functionality to the Project.
- Ability to prepare goal statements and develop action plans.
- Monitor organizational activities, evaluate impact of internal and external factors (e.g., technology, regulations, business environment) and implements response plans.
Performs people management.
- Perform personnel activities for direct reports (promotions, salary changes, counseling, performance appraisals, development plans).
- Prepares and delivers oral and written communications relating to work group and station activities (e.g., reports, presentations, department meetings).
- Monitors work group reports and recommendations to assure evaluations, assessments and support are effectively developed and communicated.
- Develops and maintains appropriate technical expertise within the work group to ensure adequate talent to perform meaningful assessments and program oversight.
- Represents department/company on internal work teams and committees and with external entities.
- Maintains composure in high stress or adverse situations.
- Understands and implements company policies.
- Provides employees with tools and training necessary for them to perform their assignments.
FISCAL ACCOUNTABILITY:
Maintains fiscal records and procedures of the department to ensure effective and efficient operations.

- Accept ERO position as needed.
- Accept outage position as needed.
- Ability to obtain and maintain unescorted access.
- Successfully complete General Employee Training (GET) as required for position.
- Environmental and physical requirements are subject to crouching, stooping, bending, twisting and/or lifting up to 30 lbs; ascending/descending stairs; sitting for extended periods of time; and spending considerable time in front of computer monitors.
- Overtime and alternate work schedules as needed.
- Subject to callouts twenty-four hours per day seven days per week.
- Travel may be required.
- May be required to carry phone.
- Due to the nature of the work, this position provides the ability for a hybrid work schedule between Site and an alternate work location. Alternate work locations require adequate technology and a solid ergonomic setup is present. Note: Work schedules are contingent on business need.
