Position Summary:

DMC is looking for a Supervisor (Construction) for the project site located in Arizona-USA. The Supervisor (Construction) is responsible for leading the day-to-day surface and underground construction activities to achieve quality construction work packages (CWP's) delivered on time, on budget and in line with our health and safety management system.

Responsibilities:

- Complete constructability reviews and provide input into engineering designs for ease of construction.

- Plan and coordinate the labor, materials and equipment required to complete the Construction Work Packages (CWP's)

- Complete material/site acceptance reports for construction materials.

- Familiarity with civil, structural, mechanical and electrical installations.

- Develop construction methodologies for input into Job Hazard Analysis (JHA's)

- Interpret prints and layouts so that installations can be surveyed and set out.

- Supervise crews and coordinate the activities of the workers in surface and underground mining construction projects.

- Ensure that all direct reports in the workplace take responsibility for aspects of Occupational Health, Safety and Environment over which they have control including adherence to all applicable requirements.

- Ensure compliance with all government legislation, company standards, and site requirements by workers under the incumbent's supervision.

- Coach and instruct those under supervision to develop construction skillsets.

- Respond to issues and field changes as they occur.

- Inspect all work areas and request corrective action from subordinates.

- Help build and reinforce the correct culture required for the success of the Project.

- Ensure that quality surveillance is undertaken in line with ITP requirements with records submitted for handover files.

- Prepare daily documentation and progress reports on performance of crew and equipment.

- Ensure the IRS system is implemented and maintained.

- Other related duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications:

- 5+ years of similar experience in the mining/construction industry

- Construction trade experience (Carpenter, Rod buster, Ironworker, etc.)

- MSHA Experienced Miner.

- Expert knowledge of workplace safety requirements and procedures.

- Experience managing and leading a team of employees.

- Strong written and oral communication skills.
