The Health & Safety Student will be responsible to work safely while functioning as a member of the Health and Safety department taking every opportunity to learn and grow through exposure and association with members of the Detour workforce.
- Assisting H&S Contracts Administrator with compiling and distribution of monthly H&S stats
- Accompanying H&S Field Coordinators on inspections
- General administrative duties as required
- Assisting IH Technician with sample collection
- Support in daily incident report reviews
- Supporting document control through edit and review stages
- Student enrolled in Public or Occupational Health program, Occupational Health and Safety degree program, Nursing students, or related field;
- Experience working at a remote work site is an asset;
- Proven commitment to health, safety and the environment;
- Excellent listening, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills;
- Exceptional ability to work within a diverse team;
- Attention to detail;
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
