Reporting to the Environment Supervisor, you will be part of the Environment Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Conducting air quality monitoring and regulatory water sampling programs
- Supporting wildlife deterrent activities
- Assisting with spill response procedures
- Performing routine site inspections
- Participating in wildlife and vegetation surveys
- Assisting with hydrological monitoring efforts
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree or College program in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Biology, or a related field
- Demonstrates versatility and adaptability across various environmental tasks, including wildlife management, vegetation monitoring, air and soil sampling, and water quality assessments
- Previous mining experience is considered an asset
- Experience working in multicultural or cross-cultural environments is an asset, reflecting strong interpersonal awareness and collaboration skills
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken
- Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and communication abilities—able to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and contribute to a positive work environment
- Valid driver’s license is required
- Watercraft Operator Certification and Firearm Possession and Acquisition License (PAL) are considered assets
Note that the official working language at Hope Bay is English.
- Rotation Schedule: 21 consecutive days of work on site, followed by 21 days allocated for transportation and rest
- Accommodations & Meals: Provided at no cost to the employee while on site
- Travel Support: Agnico Eagle offers charter flights to and from the mine site. Additional travel expenses will be covered based on your location of residence within Canada
