EPCOR currently has a fulltime, temporary Summer Student position as a Water Treatment Technician in training at the Britannia Mine Water Treatment Facility at our Britannia Beach site in British Columbia. This position is well suited to individuals who have excellent technical skills; a demonstrated ability to work co-operatively within a team and are safety focused in everything they do. The Summer Student will be gaining experience as a Water Treatment Operator for up to 4 months.
Britannia Beach is a small community in the Squamish-Lillooet Regional District located approximately 55 kilometers north of Vancouver, British Columbia on the Sea-to-Sky Highway on Howe Sound and about 10 minutes south of Squamish. Accountable to the Lead Hand Operator in the Co-op Student role your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:* Ensuring the safe operation of plant equipment, setting, and monitoring chemical feed rates.
The successful candidates will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrate strong initiative. Our best candidates will also possess developed analytical and troubleshooting skills, as well as the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team dynamic.
