Student – Project Engineer (Summer 2026)

Our BC Operations team is looking for a Student – Project Engineer

to join their team for the upcoming summer term. This position is located on-site at our office in Powell River, BC. The student will be introduced to areas of engineering (Civil, Electrical, & Mechanical), Compliance, Dam Safety, and Operations of hydro power generating facilities through various assignments. This position is expected to commence on or around May 4, 2026 for a period of approximately four months.

Student hourly rate: $23-27/hr based on level of experience.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Reviewing engineering and inspection reports and define scope of work for recommendations

- Assist in building a project management process and documentation

- Provide support on filing technical documentation

- Assist in implementing new technology tools

- Assist in project planning and execution

- Complete weekly tasks and job meetings during capital and major maintenance projects;

What You Must Have

- Working towards a degree in electrical, civil or mechanical engineering
