The Operations & Asset Management Intern will assist in the collection, validation, and analysis of data used in the operations and asset management program.
- Collects and/or validates data used to create reports for various water or wastewater linear assets such as pipes, manholes, hydrants, and valves
- Creates work orders for planned work and assist with scheduling
- Assists with urgent water and wastewater asset projects which will include field visits
- Assists engineers with data preparation and analysis for projects, inspections, and condition assessments
- Reviews plans of projects for functional design and conformance to Commission standards
- Uses Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) to enter, extract, analyze, or report on data
- Work will primarily be performed in an office environment, but will also involve visiting construction sites
- Should have the ability to climb ladders, stairs, and work outdoors
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Good communication skills
- Capable of working independently
- GIS knowledge is a plus
College student with at least one semester of coursework towards a degree.
