Structural Steel Fabricator

Our company is seeking a Steel Fabricator with structural steel fabrication experience. In this role, It is essential to cut and fabricate these parts according to technical blueprints, so you must use measuring tools to check your work. This job requires physical stamina as well as basic math and reading skills. Applicants must have experience fitting and welding steel, preferably in a manufacturing environment. We are an AISC certified fabrication shop, so it is imperative that you are able to understand and follow all procedures. All applicants will be asked to perform a weld test, prove efficiency in reading and understanding blueprints as well as a basic math test. If you do not have a resume that reflects steel fabrication experience you will not be considered for this position.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Fabricate steel and other metal parts according to blueprints

- Lay out cutting lines

- Use measuring tools to inspect work

- Fit fabricated steel items

- Maintain tools and equipment

- Maintain a safe workplace

- Weld and Grind W-Flanges, Tube steel Members, etc.

- Weld and Grind Handrails and Stringers

- Appreciates Quality

- Utilize Safety procedures and standards throughout entire work day

Steel Fabricator Requirements and Qualifications:

- High school diploma or GED certificate

- Fitting and welding experience required

- Physical stamina

- Basic math, reading, and communication skills

- Valid driver's license

- Be On-time to work daily

- Maintain Positive Attitude

- Work Well W/ Others

- Resume highlighted relevant experience with references is required

Operate Overhead Crane and Forklifts safely

Full-time; 7AM – 3PM Monday - Friday; Overtime As Needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
