Structural steel fabricator in Rockledge, Florida is seeking fitters/welders. We are looking for team players with experience reading structural fabrication drawings/blue prints.
-1 yr industry experience. Must pass fit/weld test.
-General math skills and ability to use necessary hand tools of the trade (tape measure, squares, drift pins, grinder, torch, etc)
-Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings/ blue prints and plan the fit/weld operations.
-Directs and assists in material handling and assembly according to detail drawings.
-Layout/check all detail connections and proper markings on all materials.
-Weld in the required proper position following all applicable AWS/AISC procedures.
-Perform gouging as needed and clean/ grind material to prepare for finish.
-Ability to perform physical activities that require frequent bending at the waist, squatting, stooping, kneeling, reaching and squatting.
-Must adhere to and follow all safety rules and PPE requirements.
Salary: $19 - $27 per hour, depending on position and experience
Monday to Friday; however, hours often adjust according to production needs
