Job Summary
The Structural Steel Fabricator position is designed for skilled fabricators with significant experience in steel fabrication. This role demands a higher level of independence in fabricating steel components and structures, interpreting complex blueprints, and applying advanced fabrication techniques. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in steel fabrication, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead by example, contributing significantly to the team’s productivity and quality standards while showing strong commitment to safety and efficiency.
Duties
•Fabricate components using various machining techniques and power tools.
•Operate forklifts safely and efficiently.
•Perform pipe threading and ductwork assembly as required.
•Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
•Ensure all work complies with relevant codes and standards.
•Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure accuracy and quality.
•Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety regulations.
•Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes.
Experience
•Proven experience in fabrication or a related field is preferred.
•Proficiency in using power tools, cranes, and forklifts.
•Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
•Familiarity with GMAW-C (Metal Cored) techniques is an asset.
•Knowledge of industry codes and standards related to fabrication is desirable.
•Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
