Responsibilities

- Stock shelves accurately and efficiently, ensuring products are organized and accessible for customers

- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to process transactions quickly and accurately

- Assist customers with product inquiries, product demos, and upselling opportunities to enhance their shopping experience

- Maintain clean and attractive merchandising displays that adhere to store standards

- Manage cash handling procedures with precision, including cash register operations and balancing cash drawers

- Provide friendly phone etiquette when answering customer or vendor calls, offering helpful information or directing inquiries appropriately

- Support supervisory staff by overseeing stock levels, assisting with inventory management, and ensuring safety protocols are followed

Qualifications

- Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required

- Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math for transactions and inventory counts

- Strong communication skills and the ability to provide excellent customer service in a bilingual setting are highly valued

- Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities are a plus for growth opportunities

- Ability to perform stocking duties efficiently while maintaining attention to detail

- Basic math skills for cash handling, sales calculations, and inventory management

- Knowledge of merchandising techniques and product presentation strategies
