Steel Fabricator/Welder

Steel Fabricator / Welder. In this role, you will cut metal parts and fit or assemble them into structures.

This job requires physical stamina as well as basic math and reading skills.

Applicants must have experience fitting and welding steel, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

All applicants must be able to pass a drug test.

Steel Fabricator / Welder Duties and Responsibilities:

Fabricate steel and other metal parts according to prints

Familiarity with common welding tools and procedures, including MIG welding TIG welding, metal fabricating, grinding, and finishing metals

Lay out cutting lines

Use measuring tools to inspect work

Fit fabricated steel items

Produce strong, clean welds

Maintain tools and equipment

Maintain a safe workplace

Steel Fabricator / Welder Requirements and Qualifications

High school diploma or GED certificate

Completion of a technical trade program or training program a plus

Fitting and welding experience preferred

Physical stamina

Ability to stand, crouch, and occasionally lift heavy equipment

Basic math, reading, and computer skills

Valid driver's license

Pay: $22.00 - $35.00 per hour
