Standards Engineer – Sioux Valley Energy Location: Colman, SD Headquarters or Brandon, SD Service Center Employment Type: Full-Time Application Deadline: August 13, 2025

Sioux Valley Energy is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Standards Engineer to join our team. This position will play a key role in providing technical leadership in engineering standards, regulatory compliance, and downline SCADA systems. The successful candidate will help develop plans and programs that ensure the integrity and reliability of our electrical distribution system.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the development and maintenance of engineering standards across the Cooperative.

- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and codes.

- Support the planning, integration, and operation of SCADA and distribution automation systems.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain system reliability and operational excellence.

- Contribute to long-term system planning and reliability analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field from an accredited college or university strongly preferred.

- A technical school degree combined with at least 5 years of utility experience may be considered.

- Strong understanding of electric utility systems and engineering principles.
