Join MAPEI Corporation, a global leader in the manufacturing of construction chemicals and building materials, including adhesives, sealants, and specialty products used in flooring, tile, and concrete restoration. We are currently hiring for a Staff Accountant to join our Deerfield Beach finance and accounting team. In this role you will support the organization applying principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports.
Essential Duties
•Prepares month-end journal entries and supports month-end close tasks
•Updates and reconciles Fixed Assets
•Completes Amex, P-Card, and Concur reconciliations
•Performs monthly general ledger and petty cash reconciliations
•Prepares commission statements and government reports
•Supports internal/external audits and special projects
•Assists Accounting Manager as needed; collaborates across departments
•Perform assigned tasks in conformance with procedures and instructions established in the Business Management System (BMS) and in compliance with applicable Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) regulatory requirements
•Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
•Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Accounting, Business, or Finance and/or a minimum of 2+ years of accounting related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
•Experience in manufacturing environment and in public accounting is highly valued.
•The position requires the ability to work with a personal computer in a Windows environment. Requires proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; AS-400 preferred.
•The ability to use the following notions easily: accounting cycle, general ledger, knowledge of the various books of accounts, reconciliation work, calculating the depreciation, analyzing the financial statements, etc.
•Knowledge of most used reporting tools (including Hyperion, Excel pivot table) and ERP finance modules (i.e. SAP or Oracle). Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX is an asset.
•Proficient oral and written communication skills, including ability to listen, process information, then re-communicate instruction and direction in one-on-one and group settings, including (discussions, presentations, reports, and negotiations, as applicable).
