Sr. Product Manager – Energy Management Software (EMS)

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for a Sr. Product Manager- Energy management Software, who will be responsible for definition of GELI’s Gridbidder & Insight product strategy and write detailed technical requirements for SW solution to support behind-the-meter (BTM) and front-of-the meter (FTM) applications in US market. This position will lead improvement of current behind-the-meter bill management functionality including support for tiered tariffs, ratchet tariffs, utility incentives, DR programs and wholesale markets. This position will work closely with software engineering & operations team as well as support external stakeholders in Distributed Energy& Solution Sales team. This is a high-visibility, high-impact position in a fast-growing team with an opportunity to contribute to overall business strategy and product vision. The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter with demonstrated success in a consulting/advisory role for cross-functional teams.This position will be based out of San Francisco or Santa Clara CA

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Define detailed features & functions for BTM and FTM optimization & monitoring SW including bill savings, resiliency & demand response applications

- Identify SW product features and work in close conjunction with SW engineering and platform product owners to elevate customer experience

- Use agile principles to write user stories, plan and drive the software development of features internally including design, documentation, and testing of features

- Act as the subject matter expert for C&I EMS applications- BTM utility programs, standards & compliance on IEC/ IEEE standards, upcoming policy changes

Work cross functionally across teams-engineering, data science, sales & marketing, as well as senior executives- -to prioritize key features/functionality

- Accelerate time to market by incorporating MVP (Min. Viable Product) approach

- Lead product lifecycle from inception-to-launch and manage market delivery

- Own long term product roadmap, prioritization, and definition of product features

- All other duties as assigned by Senior Management.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical/ Electronics, Computer Engineering, Renewable/ Sustainable Energy

- 5 + yrs. experience working in BTM bill savings, resiliency/ microgrid applications - 10+yrs. product management experience in storage and/or solar industry

- Knowledge of utility DER programs, energy efficiency, tariffs, utility incentives, wholesale markets

- Familiarity with project lifecycle and contract structures for solar, storage or renewable projects

- Demonstrated experience bringing successful cloud software/ IOT products to market

- Experience working with workflow tools like JIRA, Agile Development methods, Confluence and Aha!

The salary range is required by the California Pay Transparency Act and may differ depending on the location of those candidates hired nationwide.
