Wood is currently recruiting for a Sr. Mechanical Quality Assurance Inspector with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry.

Responsibilities will include, at a minimum:
•Knowledgeable in Codes specific to the Oil and Gas / Petrochemical industry.
•Surveillance of contractor’s installations, fabrications, and other identified field work.
•Able to read blueprints, ISOs, and PI&D’s
•Executes visual inspections per Code, drawings, and other applicable standards.
•Able to prepare detailed and project specific inspection reports and other documents as requested.
•Knowledge in computer programs such as Microsoft Office 365, Adobe and other project specific software platforms as required.
•Proactively develops and reviews Inspection and Test Plans and any other quality documents for applicability, when required.
•Knowledgeable in use of Quality Inspection tools and calibration requirements.
•Knowledgeable in storage and preservation of equipment.
•Knowledgeable of installation and setting of equipment.

Expected:
•High school diploma or equivalent required.
•Minimum of 7 years Quality Assurance construction experience required.
•Certification in API / AWS inspection disciplines required (API 510, API 653, and AWS CWI).
•OSHA 10 certification at a minimum prefer OSHA 30.
•Working knowledge of principles and practices of mechanical engineering, design and construction, engineering survey principles, trends, techniques, mathematics, and compliance.
•Working knowledge of Quality Assurance processes and procedures related to project construction.
•Persistent and inquisitive in the pursuit of information; obtains all relevant facts.
•Strong oral and written communication skills with good vocabulary and grammar. Excellent interpersonal skills.
•Ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one situations. Ability to interact and communicate with all levels of staff and management.
•Demonstrated ability to handle confidential or sensitive information or issues.
•Must demonstrate ability to work in a team environment.
•Ability to maintain regular attendance as per work schedule agreed with manager (may require working an adjusted work schedule based on project assigned and work overtime if warranted).
•Ability to comply with applicable laws and regulations, the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and other Company policies and procedures as required.
•Must be comfortable working in all environments including excessive heats and heights as needed.
