What you'll do:
•Monitor, analyze, and review the compliance of machined components for defects or deviations from specifications.
•Inspect and approves incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials. • Inspects in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, communicating required adjustments to Lead CNC Programmers.
•Approve finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for re-work, and confirming re-work.
•Document inspection results by completing F.A.I.R, In-Process Inspection, and Final Inspection documentation.
•Ability to work with customers to support quality requirements & deviations.
•Manage the organizations in-process inspection criteria and sampling plans.
•Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and calibration requirements, and calling for repairs.
•Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, and complying with legal regulations.
What we are looking for in a Quality Inspector:
•Proven experience as a quality inspector or relevant role.
•Thorough knowledge of quality assurance standards with a basic knowledge and understanding of GD&T, and sampling methodologies
•Ability to use Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM)
•ISO experience is a plus.
•Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
•Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as portability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
•Advanced experience in Microsoft Programs including Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Outlook, and Visio.
•Ability to lead and direct machinists to make proper machine adjustments and improve current manufacturing processes.
