Quality Inspector with a roll up your sleeves attitude and a hands on approach. A successful candidate will not only have a drive to “get it done” but will exercise their vision to get it done better.
Responsibilities:
•Follow blueprints ( strong GD&T )
•Validate quality processes by establishing product specifications and quality attributes, measuring production, documenting evidence, determining operational and performance qualification, writing and updating quality assurance procedures.
•Identify, resolve, and determine the root cause of quality problems and create a plan for addressing the root cause.
•Maintain or update all department paperwork (including inspection instructions)
Requirements:
•Detailed, team oriented, and well organized.
•Walk and Stand for long periods of time.
•Ability to run Oasis Inspection System
•Ability to run Micro-Vu Vision System
•Minimum of 5 years’ experience in quality assurance
•Strong knowledge of the ISO certification process
•Knowledge of ERP systems
•Computer literate in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
•Ability to read drawings & Strong in GD&T
•General understanding of machining process.
•Be able to move between job functions in an efficient and well prioritized manner.
•Ability to follow directions and communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
•Demonstrate trouble shooting and problem solving skills along with strong judgment capabilities.
•Ability to read Micrometers, Calipers, Gauges
•Must have machine shop experience.
This is a Full time position:
Ideal hours will be:
7am to 4PM Monday - Thursdays & 7am to 11am on Fridays
The hours are somewhat flexible.
Summary
As a Quality Inspector in the Machine Shop, you will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet stringent quality standards through effective quality audits and inspections. Reporting to the Quality Manager, your core skills in quality control and assurance will be essential in maintaining compliance with ISO 9001. Utilizing precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers, you will analyze data to identify areas for improvement. Your proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems will support efficient documentation and reporting, making you a vital part of our commitment to excellence in manufacturing.
