Expected salary range of $180,000 to $200,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).
Primary Purpose Of Position
Provides oversight of Constellation nuclear training program implementation. Plans, coordinates, and manages all nuclear training activities for the Constellation clean energy center (CEC) training function. Management oversight of the related training mission and responsible for the development and administration of assigned courses, simulator training, and the personnel assigned to the training department.
Primary Duties And Accountabilities
- Manage the development and implementation of CEC generation training programs in support of improved plant performance ensuring that training programs meet the accreditation requirements and utilize the systematic approach to training.
- Responsible for all aspects of business planning, oversight of the training function, and for establishing appropriate strategic training to support the site and corporate objectives. This would include development of the performance monitoring systems and training assessment methods.
- Manages the development and maintenance of all training materials, laboratories and simulation facilities ensuring the application/implementation of the systematic approach to training.
- Responsible for ensuring that training requirements for all personnel are satisfied in the most effective and efficient ways.
- Mentor other management personnel to help support improved plant performance and performs supervisory duties as assigned.
- Conduct training programs in a manner that meets the regulatory requirements set forth by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC).
- Maintains and ensures design fidelity of simulator with station configuration.
- Perform other job assignments and duties as directed by management or pursuant to company policy, including but not limited to emergency response, departmental coverage, call outs, and support of outage activities in positions outside the department.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (chemical, civil/structural, electrical, industrial, mechanical or nuclear) or related science OR must meet equivalency as outlined in ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 (4.1.1.1 & 4.1.1.2)Standard, "Selection, Qualification, and Training of Personnel for Nuclear Power Plants"
- 10 years of overall experience, which includes 4 years of power plant, 4 years of nuclear power plant experience and 3 years of supervisory or managerial experience
- Active Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) license, inactive SRO license or SRO certification
- Supervisory or managerial experience
- Must meet additional requirements as outlined in ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 (4.2.5) Standard, "Selection, Qualification, and Training of Personnel for Nuclear Power Plants"
- Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties- 3+ years of professional supervisory/management experience in the implementation or oversight of training programs at a nuclear facility
- Experience in leading teams from multiple organizations in accomplishing diverse tasks and assignments
- Completion of Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO) Nuclear Training Leadership Course
- Experience on INPO Accreditation or Evaluation teams, benchmarking and peer assessment teams
- Knowledge of and experience with the systematic approach to training (SAT)
