JOB SUMMARY

Provides leadership, direction and strategies for maintenance function consisting primarily of maintenance planning, routine maintenance, turnaround planning/execution and capital/expense projects. Actively participates in labor-management committees (where appropriate) and in developing and strategic/operational plans and budgets. Leadership accountability for safe, environmentally sound and reliable operations of Maintenance department.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

- High School Diploma or GED (Required)

- In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

- Two (2) or more years maintenance leadership (Required)

- Eight (8) or more years experience in maintenance within a refining, industrial or manufacturing facility (Required)

- No Licensure or Certification Required.

- Manages and leads the activities of the Maintenance Team to ensure process safety, safety, environmental, reliability, and cost goals of the refinery are achieved

- Implements and manages the environmental requirements ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations and rules

- Leads steward for site maintenance budget and annual maintenance plan

- Supervises, coaches and mentors maintenance supervisors and planners/schedulers on maintenance priorities and schedules, policies and procedures, employee relations and work activities

- Collaborates with Production Leadership to set maintenance department objectives and strategies

- Develops and tracks department scorecard matrix of maintenance department’s goals, objectives, and strategies

- Develops matrix for backlog Maintenance work

- Ensures proper training of supervision and craftsmen

- Ensures that all maintenance work includes quality documentation, including procedures, checklists and/or job plans, signed off by maintenance and production supervision

- Supports turnaround and unit shutdown planning and execution through active participation in scope development, providing justification for work items, and providing support during commissioning of equipment, shutdown/startup, and outage timeframe

- Manages preventative and predictive maintenance activities, procedures, and programs

- Approves requisitions and contract service authorizations within the Delegation of Authority limits

- Responsible for controlling overtime worked to minimize budget impact

- Primarily responsible for facilitating Post Shut-down Critique meeting and following up on Post-Shutdown Critique meeting assignments
