Overview
American Battery Technology Company (ABTC) provides technical development and commercialization of domestic, sustainable sourcing of critical battery materials through lithium-ion battery recycling and battery metal extraction technologies for use in batteries that power electric cars, grid storage applications, and consumer electronics and tools. Our first of kind systems produce commercial-scale battery materials that are sold into the battery manufacturing supply chain.
ABOUT THE JOB
ABTC is seeking a dynamic Senior Manager for our Business Operations Team who will play a mission-critical role in ensuring seamless logistics coordination, issue resolution, and cross-functional alignment between internal stakeholders and external partners. Acting as the operational point-of-contact for partner onboarding, purchase order (PO) flow, invoicing problem solving, logistics, and issue tracking, this person will ensure that open problems are rapidly addressed, and processes stay on track between ABTC and its partners. This role is designed for people who thrive in ambiguity, who are both analytical and relational, and who are obsessed with delivering long-term value for customers, partners, and ABTC.
You will be entrusted with closing and stewarding high-value relationships and solving multifaceted challenges—ranging from logistics and reverse supply chain design to contract execution, quality disputes, and commercial finance. This individual will report into the Director of Operations and interface closely with supply chain, logistics, engineering, finance, and external partner contacts.
Responsibilities
•Manage ABTC’s strategic customer lifecycle after contract execution, ensuring commercial, technical, financial, and operational alignment.
•Manage all logistics strategy & processes, inspection, external partner operations, and issue resolution between ABTC and its partners
•Design and implement scalable workflows for strategic partner onboarding, logistics, and performance reporting to continually improve interactions with such partners
•Develop with the Operations team forshortand long-term forecast planning to support ABTC’s recycling and feedstock objectives with Partners.
•Responsible for reconciling all topics with vendors relating to technical, commercial, and operational domains, including quality issues, logistics delays, shipping issues, and invoice/payment.
•Responsible for logistics pricing strategy, bundling, packaging, and account segmentation models based on market feedback, and competitive benchmarking
•Responsible for handling of all quality reconciliation with partners
•Build and maintain integrated operational program timelines, stakeholder maps, and risk registers for partners.
•Deeply understand customer product lifecycles, supply chain risk profiles, and volume trends to proactively address business continuity concerns.
•Stay current on logistics and material handling trends, regulatory developments, and competitor strategies to inform ABTC’s logistics best practices;
•Identify and develop data-driven insights on feedstock value, logistics efficiency, and contract performance; present recommendations to executive leadership.
•Act as a commercial integrator—ensuring pricing models, operational handoffs, and quality protocols are clearly understood and adhered to by both internal and external stakeholders.
•Develop dashboards and reporting systems to track partner KPIs, contract adherence, partner satisfaction, and logistics performance.
Qualifications
•Minimum required qualifications:
•8-10+ years of experience in logistics, production planning, supply chain operations, or commercial finance—ideally within energy, battery materials, EV/OEM, or high-growth tech environments.
•Proven track record ofmanaging and interfacing with partnerlogistics, warehouse, and operations teams
•Capable of driving cross-functional internal decision making to support the closure of external partner escalations.
•Comfort working with technical teams and communicating across functions—engineering, operations, quality, legal, and finance.
•High analytical fluency with ability to interpret data to shape account strategy, resolve issues, and quantify impact.
•Good problem-solving skills along with “common sense” to address issues and drive impact
•Outstanding relationship management, negotiation, and interpersonal communication skills.
•Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy & demonstrates an ability to go “above and beyond”
