We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer in the Transmission Lines Engineering
Division’s Geotechnical Design Team. The work environment is considered multi-disciplinary, as the candidate will work
closely with Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, and Overhead engineering design teams; as well as with working with
Geomatics, Environmental, Safety, Procurement, and Contract & Construction Management teams.
As a member of the Geotechnical Design Team, the candidate will provide their professional services to support BC Hydro’s
high voltage transmission system, including overhead and underground circuits, transmission stations, and will provide
support on various telecom, interconnection projects, and property referrals. The position is focused on technical aspects of
engineering, RFP/RFI development, and supporting various projects as a Geotechnical - Owner’s Engineer. Overall
management of projects are by a team of professional project managers, for whom your technical efforts will support. The
accountabilities for the Senior Geotechnical Engineer may include any of the following:
Geological Engineering and/or Geotechnical Hazards) to fill the need for Capital and Maintenance project support by the
